Winter is dragging on this year. After a cold snap of 5 to 6 days at the end of February with early morning temperatures as low as -8°C, the month of March is closing with temperatures below average for the time of year. 
We’ll remember Wednesday 28 February as the day when snow briefly covered the vineyard in a white blanket – the hens seemed to enjoy it! 
In the end, we were able to take advantage of these cold winter days to shred the vine prunings, because the ground, saturated with water, froze hard enough to bear the weight of the tractors.
